Thank you for your comments on my Tiger
I have seen other members having fun with Hardanger so I decided to have a go. I

it.This is my own design, a Hardanger sampler really. I haven't charted it, just used the stitches in Mary Hickmott's book and added a variation, not in the book, and went where my imagination took me this weekend, counting very carefully

I have called it Cafe au Lait and I love working with the perle cotton variegated thread. I have found it so relaxing to stitch. My DS said it is lovely to feel as well as look at..his hands were clean
Drawn thread work is the next challenge and finishing the edges of this one neatly. I will definitely have some hardanger to stitch along side my cross stitch work.
I have also worked some more on my Tiger. The frame is now complete...

A close friend of my younger son died as a result of being hit by a speeding motor cyclist while she was on a pedestrian crossing last year. Her favourite colour was pink, there was a sea of pink at her funeral. I have tweaked a photo I took of my white silver anniversary rose, charted it and I am stitching it for my son to keep. The sparkles of the fabric show through on the petals
