recommend a kit for a 7 year old boy please?

Post by alx008 »

Can anyone recommend a kit or a website that a 7 year old could do please?

My son is always asking to do some stitching as he sees me doing it - he has done some simple stitching on aida with my left overs but he would love to do a design!

Someone's son is stitching a dog chart..

What does he like? Cars and trucks, trains, dinosaurs, cats and dogs, monkeys, eagles, wizzards and dragons, Buzz Lightyear, Wallace and Gromit, Tarzan? There are lots of options but he should stitch something he likes

Dragons sound good - anything to suit a boy probably!

How about one of these

Or just go on a website like so and sew and type in a word like dogs, cats etc, there should be loads there to choose from whatever he fancies :D

What about the plastic canvas things with the plastic needle, and they use yarn instead of floss. They have a lot of books at the micheals near me and they have stuff from the movie cars.

there are sites out there with various cartoon and video game characters done up for cross stitch. I've found the entire series of pokemon done up, mario, zelda, lots are out there, just might be a bit more advanced than he has experience with.

I have tried to answer on this thread three times now and it keeps on disappearing, no idea why but will now try again. I have Mr Men charts and if he would like them I would happily turn them into a kit for him, and post them to him.

Hello - that's a very kind offer! I would not like to impose on your time though...

No problem at all. There are large areas of one colour so I thought that maybe this would be suitable but not sure whether he would think that the Mr Men were too young for him.
