John Clayton Puffins

Post by Mabel Figworthy »

In an old magazine I saw an advert for John Clayton kits and one of them was 'Puffin Patrol'. The picture with it was tiny but I love John Clayton's designs so I'm sure it's great (Puffins are, anyway!)

But I can't find it anywhere! I've googled it, but the couple of pages it comes up with turn out not to show the Puffin kit when you actually visit them. Has it been discontinued? Does anyone know anything about it?

Thanks Jily -- that looks like the one! I think they must be selling off ones that were left over, as none of the usual shops seem to stock it anymore. Not a bad price either ... I can feel temptation strolling my way :-)

Just to say that I ordered the Puffin patrol and It arrived today!

Paco Trade are great to deal with and their service is fast!

BTW Puffin Patrol was designed by Sheila Mannes-Abbot Not John Clayton! No wonder the search engines couldn't find it!! Mind you it was sold by Heritage Stichcraft and the designers name is in very tiny print so no wonder we were Confused

Glad you got the kit Wendy -- the Puffins have found the best possible home!

By the way, I googled the designer's name with 'puffin petrol' and it didn't come up with a single page  Poor woman, working in such anonimity, and being mistaken for John Clayton :-).
