Beatrix Potter Afghan progress 25/4/2011

My younger sister is currently 23 weeks pregnant and I am stitching this for her. I had started the afghan last year when she was pregnant but she sadly miscarried at 9 weeks. I am not struggling with this I am actually quite enjoying it but the characters are quite fiddly and time consuming.

It is being stitched on Antique White Palisade Afghan I can't remember the count though. The chart is a booklet by Green Apple Co. I cannot remember which website I bought it from though!

I love Beatrix Potter and I love Afghans so I know I will love yours. One nice thing is that as you finish each letter you will have a sense of completion. I think that may be one reason I like Afghans so much.

Thanks for the encouragement it really helps!

My sister has just called to say that she has started to see on her bump when splodge (baby's nickname) kicks now! She is doing really well apart from very bad morning sickness in the first few months. The doctor was on the points of sending her to hospital to go on a drip as she couldn't eat or drink anything until she started to take a couple of teaspoons of sugar a day as she could keep that down!
