I don't mind generally but if pushed for an answer I would say chart. I'm doing a sampler at the moment and I've changed colours for a few parts of the pattern. But if I see a kit I like the look of I will buy it.

As the most of you must have learned by now, I like needlepoint. It means I prefer kits. But sometimes I may kit it up myself. I may have the canvas, but not the yarn. I simply search the yarn myself from my big storage. The small projects are the easiest.

I prefer charts but there are some kits that I love and will buy them even though it might be a hassle to sort the colors. I have many magazines and use the charts from those as well. The kits are mostly what I don't think are offered in magazines or cross stitching books.
