I shouldn't be allowed on the polstitches website on pay day lol!!! I was so delighted with the grab bag I got the last time I ordered another, this time I paid a little more and got 3x 13x18 pieces!!

Also got 5 different skeins of thread, only ment to get one the navy (was looking for a caron substitute its the exact right colour just not silk, So pretty I got it anyway) The other ones were so fun looking I couldn't resist!!

Once again I'm in love with the opal!!!

Ooohhh!!!!

I have a real love/hate relationship with this topic - I love seeing all the beautiful stash, but hate the fact that nothing beautiful ever arrives in my postbox!! Guess I'll just have to order something!! :D

My little box that i won on eBay  ! Slight problem in that I thought the pincushion in the top was loose so I could put a design in it, and it isn't, but having a clever DIY DH I'm sure we can work something out :-)

From Sew and So yesterday with their usual quick service :applesauce:

Image

I have not used DMC pearl no.5 thread yet and I particularly liked the variegated colours.
The Anchor variegated is rathr pretty too, with white, and a colour a little darker than ecru and a pale dusky very muted pink..the photo does not do it justice. The wedding rings are for a card I intend to make.

I am going a delicate shade of green here! but I am going to try and get one on ebay - at least for a while. If I don't succeed pretty quickly I may well give in and buy one new.

I got two shades of 32 count linen yesterday(white and antique white). Very nice indeed! I couldn't get on with the 36 count at all, gridding was impossible, never mind actually stitching.

Ruthi I hope you get lucky on ebay! If you're successful it will be worth the effort I promise!

Stitch I am so glad you went for that stand, I have had mine for 18 months now and it is perfect, you should go for at least the 36" scroll rods, they fit most large projects which is what I prefer to stitch too (Haed's ususally) and if you get their rods then your chart will come almost to your face! So no problems seeing it at all. I too use the velcro strips at the side and one thing I did was - well I like my tension TIGHT sometimes I couldn't get the material wound up tight enough so I got my hubby to take out the big screws at the end of each rod and super glue them in , that was the one and only gripe I had with my stand, now my stand is perfect. Oh yes, you can buy rods the right thickness and if you put your velcro on those and add the screws to the end you can have as many scroll rods as you want!

I was worried that if I tried to put the screws in myself, I'd do a crappy job and it just wouldn't work. But I tried it and it wasn't that bad, so now I do intend on making all my own scroll rods. So much cheaper than buying the premade ones, and it's more comfortable than using the clamps with my split rail frame. I'll just put the clamps aside and use them when I use my stretcher bars on smaller projects.

That butterfly looks fantastic. I am sure my daughter would love to have it. Not sure what I would make it in to though. She has a ton of pictures, pillows and i still have to finish her quilt. So I will just

I am so glad you like it. After all, not any day does someone reach 20000! :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:
It's a shame about the camera, because I just looked through my photos, and of course, I forgot to photograph the card.
