Cool! The bags look great and very fun about a sale. I have to save some pennies too though. :)

After all those nice small quick projects, a big one again -- Midge, I've started on Peacock Feathers :-)! Not much to show yet, but here is the first, tiny, start:

It looks so good already. How large a project is this? Are you doing this as you go or are you following a pattern? Can't wait to see your progress.

The design is 118x118, and I wouldn't dare make it up as I go along :-)! You can see a small version of the chart on my Planned page, scroll down to "Large designs".

Am doing the beading on Peacock Feathers, then only the cutting and filling to do! As i was working on it yesterday I looked at the four colours I was using, and then at the four colours I'd kitted up for Horizon, and realised that both sets could be described the same: "two blues, green and yellow". but aren't they different:

Definitely a difference in the colour families there. It's funny what you were saying before about monitors and colour differences. In the second bundle the top one looks mauve to me. :)

Hope you're hanging on.

very very different. Love both of them but really love the color scheme you've picked out for Horizon

both are really different groups of colors. and to echo tiffstitch about monitors and colors, the bottom skein of the top bunch looks more rusty orange to me than yellow and the top skein of the bottom bunch looks like a pale lavender to me. Certainly explains why some things don't come out looking as I would expect when I do the actual stitching.

The bottom one in the top quartet is a deep gold in real life, and yes, you're right, the top one of the lower bunch is a lavendery shade, but I thought on the whole both still more or less qualified for the same description :-). I particularly wanted a blue and a lavender in that combination -- not sure why except that it just felt right

Got the cards today which I ordered from Cross Stitch Heaven (they used to be called Blue Groove, and they are really good for larger cards!) to mount Round the World in. So finally all twelve designs in Round Dozen have been finished, Round the Year as coasters, Round the Clock as gift bags, and here is Round the World in their cards:

Nearly nearly finished Peacock feathers, am hoping I'll get it done before we go on holiday :x:

Looked into having Berrington framed last Monday. Nearly fainted  . Depending on whether I choose to have it framed straight or diagonally and with or without glass, it'll be somewhere between £43 and £47.... *gulp*
