How scary that can be. I am so glad that you and yours are safe. Last year we were driving on I4 I think going on vacation towards the Florida gulf coast when I looked out the side window (hard to see anything it was an awful awful rainstorm) and saw a funnel cloud (never saw one before and never want to again) parallel to us. Heard later about tornado touching down near Tampa (that was about where we were). The only time I was that scared during a weather event was when we were dumb enough to stay here during Hurricane Hugo in '89.

I hope your dog gets over it soon. And again, I am glad that your home and family are safe. My prayers go out to those who suffered damages.

I was caught in Stuart FL for one of the hurricanes, lot of damage near by, the eye of the storm wet thru stuart ,,,, my mom had to get a new roof which she needed anyway and lost a couple of trees, one of which held a great hammock ....

I drove thru our neighborhood and took some pics on my cell phone this morning when i find my cord i will transfer and post them ... at least our power is back on ... I was fully expecting it to be out thru the weekend... now I can work on my stitching this weekend :D

I am glad you and your family are okay! Congrats on getting your power back so quickly. I will keep you, your family, and your area in my thoughts and prayers.

Tornadoes terrify me! Specially after we had one in our back yard during Hurricane Ivan a few years ago and we never heard it! It took down a huge tree from my neighbors yard and dropped it in my back yard. Luckily it missed the house. All our doors and windows were open because it was so hot and the power was out (no fans or a/c), and we still didn't hear it, or the tree fall because the wind was so loud. 3 neighbors heard and saw it which is how I know it was a tornado. Scary scary scary.

I hope your dog calms down about going outside again soon. Poor guy :(
