Wonderful work! Care Bears are so cute.

Thanks for the info on the kit. I may have to track this one down to do for my daughter. She squealed in delight when she saw yours. :D

Hi everyone,

Sorry I didn't update last week, I ran out of a couple of threads and didn't want to post until I'd completed the first quarter.

So, here it is!

Image

I find it quite weird that the design leaves a few areas blank, with no stitching at all. I'm not sure I like that - it looks unfinished.

I've finished my Allo Allo DVDs :) I'll now be going through the Blackadder series while I stitch Funshine Bear.

Thanks for all the encouragement - it means a lot.

I absoutly love carebears! This looks amazing. Where did you find this project?
An Angel in the book of life wrote down my baby's birth. And whispered as she closed the book "too beautiful for earth."

Quite a lot of designs have unstitched areas of fabric - it's part of the design effect the designer wanted. So don't worry about it! It'll look fine! :D :applesauce: :applesauce:

:applesauce: Great progress. they are so cute. And I agree that once you are done you will see that it will be fine with the unstitched sections. Many designs are like that and meant to be.

Thank you all for the reassurance. It's surprising how things suddenly fall into place when you step back and look at it in perspective, say through a camera lens, as opposed to up close when you're actually doing it. The shading makes more sense.

JazzeyBear - the design is a DMC kit I picked up in my local craft shop.

I've been looking at some Christmas-themed work people have been doing on here, and I'm now trying to resist buying one of my own! I'm not particularly Christmassy but my best friend makes a real effort to make special gifts for the people she loves and it'd be nice to make something for her. I may have left it a bit late to start though :(

Great work so far! :) I remember watching the cartoon when I was really little, this brings back memories.

And I am the same as you! Grumpy is my favourite as well.
