he's not adjusting well..he eats a good breakfast because I make him that and put in his lunch sack. he doesn't take lunch because he works in a hot warehouse and no place to keep lunch cool so it will spoil..and he comes home to a good dinner..
i also make sure he has good for him snacks....
but he eats bad for lunch..pizza, korean food (he's Korean) etc..
so he's doing better but not good..sugar was 410 now between 150-250...


oh and he liked the muffins..lol

Here is a photo I made recently. I am not sure if it qualifies as cupcake, you tell me!

Actually I remembered this last night, after ain interesting shoutbox discussion with Mags and Threadbear about meringue - and I claimed we don't have such a thing. After reading their description and also some recipes on the net, I realised that we do have meringue, it just doesn't have a name, we just say "egg white foam" - but it is basically the same.



This is done with the very basic (as my mum used to call it) butter dough, and whipped egg white and sugar with ground walnut and a little rum in it. We call them "little baskets".
It was the first thing I learnt to bake, because in my first flat the kitchen was so small, there was no place for a board. My mum taught me make things that don't have to be spread on a board, you just mix the dough in a bowl and then press it into the little moulds. When there is a party at school they always ask me to bake these - they are everyone's favourite.

I took the photo because I was planning to do a cross stitch pattern from it, stitching the recipe and a picture of the cake for a friend's nameday. I had no time, I only made a little card for her nameday, but now I remembered the idea, I may have to add it to my to do list, and make it next year!
