Chickens, Roosters

Post by AmandaNC »

I was wondering if anyone has any chickens or rooster charts. I have a yard full and I love them so much that I have a house full as well.

I seem to remember in one of the magazines tha I have in my collection that there were a couple of rooster patterns . If you can give me a couple days I will look over the week-end and see if I can find them.

New Stitches has a group of chickeny designs. This is an example, but there are others at Stitchdirect.com, under either Cross stitch/Birds or Animals. You can usually either buy kits or download the design. Ebay often has NS back issues, as does the site, I think.

Are you looking for simple charts or the more detailed pictures. I have some magazines that have some very nice rooster charts and some chickens as well. If you like I'll take a look and if you want them, I'd be happy to share. Let me know.

What's really clever is that the background is also made of letters.

Yes I have!!! Wonderful isn't it!

I've known about this site for ages and back in the distant past there was a link to it on the Forum. But as you know things get lost along the way. I was looking through my pattern stash box yesterday and found the chickens I downloaded so remembered it!

Glad to be of help!! :D :D

Have just looked at the stitch count -- won't fit the afghan; BUT will fit Anne cloth to be made into two cushions with my and DH's initials (saves me 24 letters too :-))

Funny I have never seen purple and pink chickens  are they only native to France. My daughter would love them.

I found the patterns I knew I had they were in The Cross Stitcher mag October & December 1996

If you would like them let me know I will remove them from the mag and ship them to you. I can't let you have the full mag as it has some christmas stuff in both that I intend to co as cards so I have to keep the rest of the mag but I will never do the chickens so you can have them if you want then.
