thank you everyone. I was at framer's this morning and I am SOOOOOO HAPPY. It is the LNS that is really not as far as I thought (about 1/2 hr drive if not at rush hour) and she does custom framing and does it herself. I spent an hour at the store, talking with her and was invited to joing their stitching group the first Saturday of every month. They meet from 4 to 8 pm and then have dinner next store at a little burger restaurant. The woman loves cross stitching (I told her about this group so hope she checks us out). It was really nice. Lots of lovely patterns and all kinds of gadgets. I purchased the fabric for 2 of my HAED's and then was going to get the silks for a freebie I downloaded from Drawn Threads (?) but she doesn't carry the right silks so I will probably order those from 123 Stitch. Anyway, she will wash and block and frame my piece as if it is her very own which is so what I wanted. As soon as I get it back I will take a picture and then get it on its way. I think it will look fine. I am still not as pleased with the coverage as I have said repeatedly, but I'm not giving up on tenting. Besides the speed, I enjoyed it, as a bit of a change too.

That shop sounds like an amazing find - I wish I could find one like that! I am very grateful for the wonderful internet stitching shops, but it would be lovely to actually SEE fabric before you buy it and be able to match it up with threads and not just leave it up to the computer monitor!
What threads were you thinking for the Drawn Thread design - is it the same one that I enabled you with or another?
Can't wait to see your piece all framed up - don't forget to take a pic for the HAED reward programme in the Summer!

Yes Mrs MBK, it is the one you enabled me on. "All You Need is Love" and it uses Gloriana Silks (which I have never used and even though the chart was a freebie it will probably cost a fortune in thread). She carries a different brand (don't remember which) but said that to get the right colors I should use Gloriana and get them from 123Stitch (which is another reason she and her shop are a find ) and she stitches around the edeges of the fabrics when you buy them from her, so I don't have to resort to masking tape!.
I took a pic for the Reward Program before I took it in. I hope it is enough. I wrote my name and some info on a piece of paper and put it on the piece and hope that it is enough with the pics of the WIPs.
Will post a pic with the frame also.
Now I have to decide do I start Tabbies just to get my paws wet or go right back to one of my WIPs when I finish the SAL today??? The kind of decision that is fun to make.

To kit it up with the Glorianas would cost you a fortune (although it is only 6 skeins over here they are £6.50 for a 6yd skein , but they are 12 stranded ) - they are lovely threads though!! I just chose thread from my stash - one of which happened to be a Gloriana but wasn't in a shade that was listed. I just picked two greens and two pink/red shades and got stitching! You could also see if Vikki Clayton has a conversion for the colours if you couldn't resist the call of the silks!

Wow Carole, just reading about that LNS, that sounds amazing. And she will definitely take care of your piece carefully, I'm always so worried about that with framers. Also, having your edges "serged?" is great. I got a piece like that in an exchange and that sounds like a great asset to have in a somewhat nearby LNS. That's about how far away mine is too, although they're not really a stitchy store, sort of everything. Still, I'm happy to support a local place now that I've found one.
Lucky you to find a local, good LNS and a stitching group. I'd call that fantastic! Nothing like that around where I live, that's for sure. My nearest store is over two hours away.

It does seem to be amazing. What is ridiculous though is that it has been there for 8 years and I just realized how actually close it is. But still, I might not have been ready for it before. The shame is that we had two LNS in my little village which couldn't make it over the years. It is so hard for these stores to survive so now I really want to try and give them as much support as I reasonably can. And I am looking forward to being able to stitch with some others also. I know that several of you have stitching groups and I have been a little envious (ok, maybe a bit more than a little) so I am looking forward to seeing how this one goes and if I really do like it or not.

I think it looks wonderful, , and i think it will be the first mini haed we will have had finished on the HAED bb.
I bow down at you being able to stick to it, i am a total serial starter and my "once was innocent" that is purples/pinks drives me mad, due to the limited colour palette, so good on you for sticking with the design for the past few month, and again well done
