Hello and thank you everyone for such lovely replies really keeps me going with this project :applesauce:

Well I must admit I have had a non stitch day all weekend (slaps wrist) I did try I promise when the rugby started, and then I was very excited about how Wales were playing I totalling forgot about my stitching!

Here are some photographs from the week, I'm really impressed on how this is progressing so quickly and how I can jump from one area to another each day to the next depending how I am feeling, hope you all enjoy

Myself and Shaun had a wonderful day today, went went out early to go to Cardiff Museum, and we spent a few hours there looking around and Shaun taking some great photographs.

Hope you are all having a great weekend and doing more stitching than me!

:applesauce: Even with watching rugby and the museum (both of which sound like fun - years ago my cousin played rugby which isn't that big over here but we went to some of the games and it was fun if hard to follow) you have made good progress on this. She is lovely. The colors are so pretty. Looking forward to your next update.

I have for years been trying to get my oldest daughter interested in cross stiching. She did start a bookmarker but never finished it. That was several yrs ago. We found this pattern this morning and I had to come on here and show her you work. Told her I would help her work it if she wanted it. I keep hoping one of my daughters will find cross stitching as relaxing as I do. She fell inlove with this pattern. Now if I can just get her commited to it. Your work is so lovely on this.

That's so pretty  . The colours are gorgeous. Sometimes you need a little break just to keep the enthsiasm going. Looking forward to the next update.

Oh Sandycheeks my little sister in law is called Meghan (except spelt the welsh way) and is 12, and she loves this Geisha too, I have tried to teach her cross stitch as she is amazed by me doing it, but she could not grasp it so she is knitting instead at the moment and loving that (I must try again with the stitching though!) How old is your daughter? Im so happy she liked my work it gives me a real boost! Please let her know its ok to not finish the smaller ones, I only started stitching over two years ago and I have one small design finished! and instead I jumped straight into the deep end, I had no one to teach me and worked it all out by myself and tackled Princess Castle by Bothy threads only after two months starting stitching! The Geisha is stitched on 18 count Ivory Aida and the fabric size is 16"X16" and the stitched size is 12"X12" so is not as big as it looks to be honest. The only thing I would say is that it does have quite alot of blended threads, but as long as she has her by your side showing her then I have no doubt she will love stitching it as much as I do at the moment

It is gorgeous. I know Meg is jumping in on the deep end by trying it. I'm hoping with me helping her she will see improvement faster and keep her interested.

Well a big hello indeed, I have been terrible and have abandoned here and blog land for a holiday in Devon with Shaun (Sorry but hope you all understand!) but I am now back and have stitched my little needle and thread away since I posted last don't you worry

I've been stitching both Enchanting Geisha and the mother wolf and cub (my rotation project) so have a few pictures as an update

The last photo is me stitching in my pjs in our holiday home - whoops!

I was a little annoyed knowing how much black I have left to stitch, I ran out of thread! I am so frugal with my threads aswell, as it was only black I thought I may aswell get two DMC threads worth as I needed alot of different colours grey that I didn't have in my stash for mum and cub, so I didn't mind then having to order. I always order for sew and so, but their price for threads are a little eye watering but when needs must I will pay, until I saw in a magazine that across town stitching done 50 threads for £16 - Great! I done my order and patiently waited..... and waited, a week had past and nothing, I emailed and nothing and then 11 days later they arrived! Hooray! I was annoyed as I had placed an order a week before I had gone on holidays and really wanted to crack on with the kimono but I was stuck with frustrating confetti instead, so progress on her had been quite slow unfortunately.

Well stitching will come to a halt this week, Shaun has a terrible cold and I feel little queasy myself tonight, and I am back into work tomorrow after 11 days off - Oh the pain!

Hope you are all well
