Just wanted to say thank you to all you wonderful ladies out there. Since joining the Forum I have learnt how to grid my fabric. how to rotate my projects and how to park when using lots of colour. All I have to do now is finish my TW Rapuncel it still scares me. Thanks for being there
I've learnt about how to use a laying tool, how to do a loop start from the front, how to post pictures on the forum, all about speciality threads, different designers, and much more. Thanks everyone.

I will third that. I have learned about gridding, posting pictures, different stitches (I would never have learned about the Stitch Specialists or the soon to be started Papillon SAL), rotating projects (critically important), using thread other than DMC. I guess I alsoshould be thanking this forum for introducing me to HAEDs. Enough said about that one and most important, now I have friends all over the world. What an amazing place this forum is.

This would be a VERY long post if I listed everything I've picked up here in this forum.
The big thing that stands out for me, is the ENCOURAGEMENT we give each other here...whenever ol' nasty shows up, folks are quick with helpful (& sometimes funny) words.
And whenever a masterpiece is completed, I love how everyone pulls out all the stops & compliments the artist. VERY REFRESHING in this day!
So, THANK YOU to everyone here on the forum (except those salespeople who pop up occassionally & try to push their wares/websites on us...)

I would also like to add that when you talk about cross stitch here, everyone is interested in what you are saying and give feedback. In the "real" world, the most I get is a blank look and a rapid change of subject. (Except my immediate family, they are all supportive.)

I totally agree with everything that's been said. This is definitely one of the friendliest forums I've ever seen and I spend a good deal of my online time checking out new posts. I'd also like to thank Rose and the forum admins who somehow manage to keep this site up and running so very well!!!

Agree with everyone! I can't list the things I've learnt since coming here - too many! - and also I've found out about HAED and been inspired to start myself. This place is VERY inspiring!
I'll be doing Hardanger soon... providing I feel brave enough one day...
I agree with everyone here! I learned a lot and have gotten inspiration from all you ladies and gents! You're a wonderful bunch and I am thrilled to be a part of this forum!

I'd like to agree with all that has been said. My OH signed me up to this as we don't really know anyone here, I begun to get lonely without a job and him being at uni most of the time and he's never regretted signing me up no matter how many hours I spend absorbed reading the different threads. I'm very grateful not only to him for doing so but to all of you for being so lovely, friendly and inspiring. It has made living far away from family and friends a lot easier and I've made some lovely friends so a BIG thank you!
Me too. I have learnt heaps since being part of the wonderful family on here and no doubt there are things still to learn and new people all over the world to meet. Your encouragement is greatly appreciated too so
THANK YOU ALL.
