Hi I was looking for something different and came across this and thought it may or may not be of help to you as a new stitcher.

after the terms list there are some links for starting and that kind of stuff. Just remember it is what works for you NOT what someon else tells you is right or wrong.

...although I wouldn't be to quick to re-invent the wheel either
Particularly when it comes to techniques other than cross stitch. The way stitches are done (and sometimes the order in which they are done) have been worked out by generations of needlewomen as the most efficient method, letting you stitch quickly and beautifully. Avoid developing bad habits!
(do as I say, and not as I've done

New to Group
Hi,
I am very new to posting. Not sure of everything.
I live in Mount Joy, PA, 49, married with 3 kids? 35,22,17.
I love crossstitching when I get a chance to.
My one big project was the Roseman Bridge from the Bridges of Madison County collection. Started the Imes bridge. I am looking for patterns of the other two if any one knows where I can find them.
I have to get back to work.
Hope to get back soon and meet some people.
Amber
