Great update Carole and your lazy daisy stitches are just perfect. Love that spider but you can keep him, he's a bit big for my liking.

Lovely update Carole. The colours you chose for this go so well with each other. I love Crescent Colours, they are so subtle in their colour change and the thread you have used for the spider's web is very delicate.Your spider reminds me of Incy Wincy spider :D

The little details of flowers and spider with it's web are really bringing this all together aren't they!

I think the thread for the web is perfect...looks like a web in the morning covered in dew. :applesauce: :applesauce:

Part sixteen and seventeen:

Part sixteen was more flowers to the left of the owl. They're done in Eyelet stitch and will have beads in the centre. There were several suggestions for stitches to do the stems in but after browsing through my Jane Greenoff book, I opted for Stem stitch.

Image

Part seventeen is a sapling on the other side of the owl. The stems are done in backstitch and the leaves in Leaf stitch. I did the leaves in one of the same off-whites as the flowers as I didn't want to introduce another green, and I thought it'd look more moonlight-ey.

Image

This is what the whole thing looks like now.

Image

Just one more part to go now and I have that printed off ready to do. I can't believe it's almost finished :)

The flowers are so pretty, I love the look of those "interrupted" eyelets with the cross of threads left in the middle.

:applesauce: That is beautiful. And you have done a fantastic job. I know that some of those stitches had to be difficult to master too. I love it. :stars:

This is one of the most amazing pieces I have seen. All those specialty stitches make my head spin. I am so jealous and truly wish I knew how to do something like this. It looks like so much fun and I can tell you have had a ball stitching this up. Where does one go to learn how to do these stitches and how hard is it? I would love to be able to do something like this one day but have no idea where to even start learning. For now I will just watch in awe of everyone that can do this. Fabulous work and I can't wait to see the finish. :applesauce:
