Re: finished cross stitch kit No.1

Post by habbyworld »

The 3rd cross stitch i am doing is serioulsy difficult. On a 26ct black evenweave fabric and the stitches are all over the place. Sometimes i am doing 1 cross here and 1 there and that can be about 20 or 30 on 1 colour so i am forever starting and finishing 1 cross at a time. I think this one is going to take a good year or more.

I think that it looks like a face....but the person is looking away from the stitcher.

Wow 79 colors that is quite an undertaking. :applesauce:

Considering i`m a bloke. And alot of people think cross stitch is more a girly thing to do and a few people say doing it on black fabric and how small the stitch are and that some people wouldn`t even attenpt to do what i am doing. I am quite chuffed having 2 finished already and doing such a complicated 3rd already.

Well if you start at the beginning of this thread and follow it through, you can see the first 2 that i have done.

As for the one i am doing now, it will probably take a year or more, there is alot to do, and no i`m not telling what it is yet, you will just have to keep guessing as i do it and show progress photos on here.

Duh  Sorry, I saw (and commented) on the first two projects. It's just that as I get older (and older), my memory fades now and then. Besides the first two were two whole pages ago. I can't remember that far back   . Sorry. Your work is very good. As for the third, I still haven't a clue.
