Re: Anglo-Saxon Treasure Cross FINISHED

Back stitching all finished, although I wish now I had used a larger count, even 16 ct would have made the back stitch a little easier, especially the places where individual stitches were completly back stitched,. But it's done, and I am pleased, I still have a passion for bellpulls, so that is what I am going to do with it. IF, I can find some bellpull hardware I like that is a decent price. I found one abot $20, brass rods and a chain to hang, think I may go with that.

Ok, the bell pull I am ordering has a top and a bottom rod. Now, do I use both rods, or do I put a point on the bottom and add a tassel (either red and gold or just red,or just gold -I have all three). I don't know what to do

The backstitch really added a lot to this. It's so pretty and it will make for a great bell pull. I think it would look great if it ended in a point, and then you have a spare rod that you could use for a different project.

Well done on the finish. I think Bell pull at the top then finished with a point and maybe a gold tassel below would look lovely, just my opinion.

This is fabulous, and doesn't the back stitching make a difference! :applesauce: :applesauce:
For myself, I'd use both rods -- this doesn't strike me as a tassly sort of piece, the A-Ss being who they were and given the design.
