Please help!

Post by ChelC »

Hello,
I just resently purchased a copy of British cross stitch mag Cross Stitcher Issue 189. On page 79 in the Q&A section they show a pattern called the Seafarer's Map. The Pattern of this map is in issue 187 and I've contacted the mag and they told me that it is not available any more and advised me to go on forums to see if someone can copy this pattern for me or sell me the entire mag. Please help I'd really like this pattern.
Thank you and Happy Stitching

Well I am surprised that they said to ask for a copy as the designer would still have the copyright to the pattern and to copy it would be a violation.

You could check on ebay there maybe a mag there or one of our members may have the issue you are looking for. Good Luck.
If you are looking for some one to help change you, look in the mirror

Since it's a magazine, you might also check some of the brick and morter shops that carry mags. They may have a back issue available.

Thanks ladies for your help. I know it's hard to believe but yes the Mag did tell me to see if someone would copy it for me. I thought it was strange myself. And thanks Lacemaker for the find on e-bay but unfortunately I'll be on vacation when this item ends so I wont be the final bidder. I still wont be assured that I am acctually getting the mag. And what is a Brick and Morter shop? I'm from Ohio and I've never heard of that.
Again thanks to all.

Bricks and morter are a real live store....not just on the web.
