Swingin' With My Gnomie

Post by greydonkey »

This is my current project...I found this somewhere on the internet, maybe Pinterest, when I was looking for something gnomish for my Dad for Father's Day. I was able to complete the gnome for Father's Day, but then had to put it on hold for Summer quarter at school. I'm hoping to finish it before I go back to school at the end of September.

I think it's from an old magazine, it was charted with Anchor colors (which I then converted to DMC colors I had on hand), in color blocks rather than symbols. For this reason, it's getting kinda challenging with the tree, because it's hard to tell where the lines are/how many stitches to do of the dark brown.

Here's my current progress:

What a cute design. You're making great progress on it. I can only imagine how tough that tree trunk must be to work on.

Hee hee. I'm not one for "cutesy" designs, but I like that little guy. Nice stitching too.
