Beautiful work.
As for the random loose stitch, after I've completed a piece I usually wash and iron it. I then let it rest a couple of days. I then inspect it. If I find any loose stitches, I put it back in a Q-snap. I anchor a thread on the back near the loose stitch and then run the thread under the back of the offending stitch and put enough tension on it to draw it tight and re-anchor the thread.
Hope that makes sense.

I think your work looks fine but do understand that you worry when starting out. As everyone else has said, the important thing is whether you are happy with the results: I would have been had I produced projects looking as good as yours do when I was beginning. I was lucky in that I had my daughter, an experienced stitcher, to contrast and compare methods and results with. Nonetheless, my style now is rather different from hers: it sounds as though you might be struggling alone? It might help if you could go to shows/exhibitions, even certain craft shops and look carefully at the displayed projects to get an idea of how your stitching compares with that of others and also to decide which effect is most pleasing to you. I would only want to mention one tip(not prompted by anything in your photos but merely to help) and that concerns twisted threads: it took me some time to realise that twisted threads not only reduce coverage (because such a thread goes `thin') but also affect the tension: do make sure that you occasionally let the needle dangle at the back of the work to straighten out the threads.

I think they both look great! I love the colors in the second project and am very excited to see it finished! The Tiger is cool, I love tigers and have that exact picture in a paint by number hanging on my wall.
Keep up the great work!

Thank you! That should help a ton!rcperryls wrote:When I have a thread that I want to refer back to I "bookmark it" and if I am eager to get an answer to a question or curious what the response will be to a thread I "subscribe" to it and get notified via email that there has been a response. You can always undo these also. I used to get lost looking for things also and I think someone suggested this to me when I first joined, and I use these forum tools a lot.SunnyDay wrote:Thank you...I won't hesitate to ask. Now I just have to find the thread that I posted some questions on! Hahaha. I get so lost in all of these. I had asked what is couching and what is parking. I will try to see if anyone answered me on the other post if I can find it and if not, maybe I can find my way back here and get the answer.
