Kind of a silly/stupid question, but I have to ask.

If you are working on an HAED, that is a mini, what is the difference in the finished picture if you did it on 32 cnt, over 2, instead of the 25 cnt lugana or the 22 cnt hardanger over 1?? I do not mean the size, but the look of the picture??

I ask because I have a mini that is only 225wx281h and was wondering what the difference in looks would be if it was done on 32 cnt over 2.

That would be the same size as over 1 on 16 ct and I don't think it would look significantly, if at all different from a 25 or 22ct fabric done over 1. I have seen really beautiful patterns stitched over 14 and 16ct aida fabric. I'm doing one 2 over 1 on 18ct afghan cloth which is a pretty loosely woven fabric combared to lugana and hardanger (I've done or am doing one on each of those) and the detail really has come through fine (Amulet & Emmaline cat afghan), so I would think yours would also.
There are no silly or stupid questions. If there were, I wouldn't have been able to ask most of mine.

LOL !! I know what you mean about the questions. I guess the stupid questions are the ones that are NOT asked.

Beautiful pattern and such great work at the link you posted. :applesauce:

The one I want to try on the 32 count is the HAED Mini Rose-Angel. I love the pinks in it, and have never done a picture with just the head, so to speak. For some reason I am still having alot of trouble working with the tinie tiny squares. I started the Rose Angel on 22 cnt hardanger, and so far so good, but even looking through the magnifer, my eyes start to blur, even after stitching only a couple of dozen stitches. Same thing when working on 20 cnt adia. When I do the "regular" type of cross stitch pictures, there is no blurring.

I stitch the same as Carole, cross country all the way  . I had a brief foray into parking but all those loose threads drove me mad
As long as all your crosses go the same way you're doing it right

Cross Country is were you follow the color that you are using until that thread runs out or you no longer have that color in your stitching area. So in stead of working in blocks you are working across the pattern were ever the color leads.

I hope that makes sense?????? :thinks:

This is cross country stitching
Image
I'm only working with one colour at a time, and as Rose said, I'm following the pattern until I either use up all of the thread or use up all the symbols in the immediate area. Once I've finished with that thread / colour, I pick another colour, usually in the first block in the top left hand corner (but not always) and stitch all the squares with that symbol.
