I dont know if it matters whether the pink and blue are light or dark. I think the light and dark matters more when its going to be 2 of the same colour.
Whatever you think looks good will be great

Thanks so much for the reply. Okay so I have figured out the colours I want to use but now I can't find a bead colour to match . Maybe someone can help me figure out what colour bead would go with # 718 thread since it says use the bead in the colour of your dark colour.

ninjabetty I used size a 28 needle for my beads and had no trouble at all HTH

In her instructions for January, Mabel states a size 28 needle will be OK for attaching beads. Please don't worry about asking questions, we're here to help.

Don't know if this will help - it's a chart that converts DMC colours to the nearest Mill Hill Seed Bead, that's if you were thinking of using MH beads of course !

Oh thank you thank you Mrs MBK. I decided to change it around and go with the dark blue and light pink and found the bead in the colour that matches. That chart is a lifesaver. I think I'm going to do the first two with these colours and then may change to two different ones for the next two and so on. Of course that all depends if I even make it through the first one lol.

My bead edging turned out horrible, even after practicing. Am I pulling too tight? Too loose? I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. Overall, though, I enjoyed this and found it challenging but not too frustrating.
