How to use Q snaps

Hi all! I have a total mental block when it comes to using Q snaps. I cross stitch w/a scroll frame on a K's creations stand. Can the snaps fit over the top and bottom scrolls? When I need to scroll up or down do I move the snaps or roll the fabric over them? Yeah, I know. Sounds like a dumb question from a seasoned stitcher, but it's something new to me.

Unlike scroll frames, I don't wrap my fabric around my q snap frame. Rather, I lay it over the frame and clip it down, side by side. It's sort of loose on the first side but I tighten it as I put on the other sides.
When I am ready to move it, I take it off completely and move it to the new spot. I turn the clips slightly to tighten.
I use 2 different sets to make an 8 x 11 frame.

I do the same as Maggie. I don't think it is possible to roll the fabric on to the q-snaps......at least not the way I use them.
