Dimensions thread conversion?

Post by KittyBiskit »

I'm midway through a large (for me) Dimensions kit but the thread quality is driving me insane. Everytime i pick this design up to work on it i just get exasperated at the constant knotting and breaking of the thread and put it down again :( Started using thread heaven a couple of months ago, and i love it, but it hasnt stopped the threads breaking all the time
I started this design 2 years ago, and i really want to finish it before another year is out.

What i'm wondering is would it be possible to switch to DMC threads at this point without it being obvious? Or if not does anyone have any other suggestions?

I believe that Dimensions custom dyes their thread
Shoot them an email and explain the situation- they will often send more
Maybe new thread will behave better?

This has happened to me before. Maggie is right, they custom dye their threads and often it's hard to find a match. I wrote to them describing the problem and enclosing some of the broken thread pieces and they called me and very happily sent me out new bobbins of the problem shades - which solved the problem. It did take a month to get to me though (in Australia).
