I am sure this has been asked before, but my quick search using the search function didnt find anything.
I used DMC metallics in a project. The project is finished and I wanted to wash and then iron it, but I'm worried about the metallics. Would the metallics wash ok? Has anyone tried it??
I may have to skip washing it and use a spray bottle of water and something to iron out the wrinkles and not fully wash it.
Thoughts from then experts??

Re: Washing project with metallic
I've hand washed projects done with metallics before and had no problems. I let it air dry until mostly dry and then iron from the back.

Re: Washing project with metallic
I use lots of metallics in my stitching and unfortunately that means DMC as well. All of my projects get washed and I just throw them in the wash machine on a gentle cycle. I then hang them on the clothes line and iron when the project is just a very tiny bit damp. I have never had trouble with any of my threads and that includes the metallic thread.

I just finished a project with DMC metallic thread. I handwashed it, had no problems.
