The houses are going to be done as individual as then they are going to go on a bigger piece. I have an idea that I will show you once all of it has come together. Right now I have to finish up another of the cup kozies I am doing for Christmas and then I can get it going.

Quite right, Rose, that's a very good reason for breaking a stash ban :-). Lovely designs, and the starry aida is very pretty!

I'm making finger cord friendship bracelets with the youth group tonight   - the soft cotton is meant for that. The beads and the variegated perle are all mine :-)

They're for my bead sampler Beadazzled, to help me decide what colour to use -- and as it turned out I already had the blue shade  so I now have a LOT of those, I think I'd better go for blue beads :-)

*thinks - how about using all three? :thinks: :thinks: *

Gorgeous beads Mabel, and I'm sure you could find a way to use all 3 colours effectively. :)

I received this lovely card from Squirrel last week, I love it! My favourite colours, and beautifully stitched too.

I have it displayed in this little cedar ornament "window" that came with the house. :)

  i can play on this thread now :D

this is an order from 2 UK retailers for parts of kits for a few charts. I'm heading back to NZ, and will be on a tight budget there so am kitting up a few charts now. so this lot include all the bits for the LHN chart shown, fabric for the Lizze Kate snowmen, plus the thread for that. some speciality threads for CCN's Santas Village, and the threads for LHN's Patience sheep.

Image

i also have an order supposedly on its way from 123stitch, but according to the tracking info the US postal service it got sent to Canada by mistake!. not sure if its coming onto me or back to them and then on to me!.

well my wayward 123 order turned up today - i was beginning to despair i'd ever see it after a mix up with US and Canadian post.

i'm so happy.....

Image

i had to order santas village and patience from there as i couldnt get them from the stores i used here. and since i was already paying postage, i had to order another chart and the stamps!.

i've started patience already as i want to make it into a gift for a special young lady.
oh, and ignore the stamps, they are for another hobby!.

What fun things you have there. And very smart to stock up now for when the budget gets tight. I'm looking forward to updates on these as they go from stash to WIP's.

Well I would have posted this a couple of days ago, but my husband failed to inform me that this was in the pile of mail that was seemingly all bills and other boring stuff.

I got my runner up bingo prize from Sally! She sent a lovely card and some gorgeous threads which I cannot wait to use. I already have plans for what I'll use it for.

Image

Thank you thank you thank you, Sally! This was such a lovely and thoughtful gift. And thanks again for running a great bingo.

Also, this was my first ever gift from a fellow stitcher, which makes it even more special.

Now all I want to do today is stitch and play with stash. :)

ETA: I forgot the picture.

my mother sent me a large pile of "extra" floss from various projects, there are dmc, anchor, jp coats, and a few unlabled skiens that I havent a clue what brand they are. there was one bit of perle #5 in a lovely veriagated green, but the length was so short I dont know why it was even saved :( Ill post a picture once I get it all sorted.

I only found this thread yesterday! I have been a lucky girl this week. Not only have I received some lovely Addi needle tips and set of cords for my knitting from Skitzzzz ( I know it's not cross stitch but I wanted to share because they are fab), but I've also been sent a lovely discontinued DMC chart from the Bodleian library called 'Venice' and some DMC beads from Serinde. I'm thrilled to bits with these lovely things and thank you both for your kindness.

I received this lovely consolation prize from Sally about a week ago, but somehow the lead for the camera got mislaid, so I've only been able to post piccies now

I got a lovely card, plus these two lovely lots of threads,

And Sally very kindly sent this lovely hanging for the girls, as they chose my lucky numbers. It's hanging in our living room and every time I see it it reminds me of the lovely people on this forum.

Thank you Sally
