First Finish of 2014 - Wedding Sampler

Post by Kezzy »

Definitely got the stitching bug back - first project of the year finished. Started it last Sunday so quite pleased with the time taken but is the fifth time I've done this one so no excuses really! Just need to frame it now :)

I can see why it's a repeater! Beautiful job. Where is the chart from? DD is getting married in July, and this might be nice for her. Thanks!

Thank you DahliaDoll. It's from a magazine of samplers but from 1996. It's just a nice easy pattern to follow.

:applesauce: :applesauce: Lovely sampler. Do you stitch it in the same color each time or go with the wedding colors? Can definitely see why it is a repeater.

Thank you. I always stitch this one in the same colours because I like the subtlety of them - maybe I should change next time?? The next wedding sampler however is a hardanger one and that one will be matched to the wedding colours :)

Thanks all. I wouldn't normally boast but had the loveliest compliment from the bloke in work who I made this for - he said it was the nicest wedding present they'd had, he was so made up with it
