Hi all! I've just joined the forum and am very grateful for the answers to my questions so far. My name is Lauren and I've been a sporadic cross stitcher for years. I have three beautiful girls aged 8, 6 and 4 and we live in Melbourne, Australia.
I've mainly worked from kits but am about to begin my first project on linen evenweave.
You can see it here:

The forum has been invaluable so far and I am busy reading old posts and absorbing all the information I can to help with this more ambitious project!

Welcome, Lauren, and hello from Colorado. I hope you feel at home here...but be prepared...there are a lot of enablers who might cause your stash to grow.

Hi Lauren and Welcome from me in sunny and warming up Brisbane. It got down to 15 overnight - rather chilly for up here.
Its great to have you along. What fabulous designs Satsuma has and so colourful - which one have you chosen to work on? They are all great.
Where in Melbourne are you? I lived in Mooroolbark (near Lilydale) for 8 years until coming up here.

Hi Debby and Sally - thanks so much! Sally, I'm doing the pattern called "Forest". More info here:

It is definitely autumn here in Melbourne - cold nights and crisp mornings! So the pattern seems appropriate, now that I think of it!
Editing to add that Sally, I'm in Footscray, full of fabulous food - we're going out for yum cha (dumplings) for brunch, in fact!
