You certainly did stitch away and made great progress with this one. Hppe your sleeplessness is just occasionally and you can grab an odd 'nanna nap' to get you through the day.
A lovely update.

Lovely updates for both pieces! They are different enough that it ought to be fun to stitch them as ongoing WIPs. I'm looking forward to your updates on these.

Thanks ladies! I started back on the fractal today, and I'm hating every minute of it because of all of the jumping. grrrr, I hate the small spirals! What is everyone doing this holiday?
I am going to be gridding a project for The Last Judgement. I was told not to use regular DMC thread for it, but I don't have fishing line and can't get any at the moment since my cousin is coming up soon. I think I should be fine with dmc thread. Does anyone use DMC for gridding?

I think it might be tricky to get the gridding thread out or are you planning to stitch over it? I use a water erasable marking pen. Fishing line or special threads for gridding are often used by other members. If you are going to try the DMC I would test this idea first on a similar piece of fabric to make sure that you can get the thread out or that if you cover it with stitching that it doesn't show through. That way you won't have wasted a lot of thread and time on something that isn't usable. I am interesting in hearing how this works out for you.

Those are good ideas!
I heard that fishing line is cheap, so I will try to find one that's not clear. I might have to work on it without gridding if nothing else since it's getting too close to my cousin's arrival. This time, I won't stitch one color at a time since I will have to focus on 10x10 at a time. I don't think a pastel orange would be transparent enough to stitch over. I picked the wrong color! Newbie mistake

Just a heads up to everyone, I will be on here on occasion, but not as often between January 10th and the 24th. My cousin will arrive early morning on the 10th, and her time here will leave me exhausted daily since she will most likely be like a kid in a candy store, haha. I will hopefully be sharing photos on my photography Facebook if I get any.
I especially hope I can get some stitching done! It really IS therapy!

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. I took a decent break from everyday life, and now I'm back to push to get the fractal done by the end of January.
Did anyone get stitchy gifts?

For gridding I use cotton machine quilting thread as it is slightly thicker than polester thread although if its gridding on aida I just use a water soluable pen and it washes out easily. In fact when its humid here it tends to vanish anyway.
Your last update were looking good too.

Glad you're back from your holiday break. I didn't get any stitchy gifts per se, but I did get a JoAnn's gift card which I will be using to stock up on floss and aida when it goes on sale. I'm looking forward to some updates on your pieces.
Since my sleep has been way off to where I have become DaVinci by sleeping 3 hours at a time instead of the whole 8 at once, I haven't done much. Every little step counts, though! I have completed 1/3 of the page. An online friend gifted me a HAED of the Mayan Aztec Montage I will be doing for the New Years start. I'm so excited!!
I did everything to the left of the large red half circle at the bottom
