The Joan Elliott designs are so beautiful. What a sweet surprise to see an update to one of these pieces. I can't wait to see some more. :D

I really have been enjoying this project--and just completed another square---just have to sort out something to replace the cat for the middle top now. Here is how it looks now

Image

and here is a close up of the dragon---still have most of the beading to do on all of the squares

Lovely finish Karen! I like the Pheonix some are using for that cat box?

Here's mine finished and framed, luckily I had this frame Id bought in error (wrong measurements) and it's a perfect fit....

:applesauce: :applesauce: I am in awe of both of you and your beautiful stitching!
Niki, the frame is perfect for a perfectly stitched piece!
Karen, what options do you have for that box, if any? Obviously, I would stitch the cat, but understand your looking for something else?

Niki---I love the frame, how fortunate that it was already in your possesion.
Carole, I do like the cat but think I will either use a butterfly or part of one of the many charts that I have from Joan---she did mention posting an alternate, so I may just wait and see!! :D

Beautiful finish Nikki, and what a nice happy accident with the frame.

Great progress Karen and good luck choosing a replacement.

WOW.... I have a finish! I've had a forced period of rest following leg surgery so I have been busy with the needle AND I have managed to complete the SAL. I never used beads before, but I think they look fab. What do you think?

Now I have to find a suitable frame to show off this project...
