Thank you all for your kind words - I am rather pleased with the results.
Anne, I learnt by doing Mabel's first hardanger SAL Song of the Weather (SOTW) SAL in 2013. Her instructions are very clear and most helpful. There is a new one starting on Jan 1st called Round in Circles and the sign up is open now. Look on page 1 of Stitch-a-Long on the index page and it is about halfway down the page. It is lots of fun and Mabel has assured us that the first 1 or 2 of the series will be very newbie aimed.

What beautiful work you have done Sally, they are all gorgeous. Well done. I particularly like the Sweetheart Tree. Won't people be thrilled with the exquisite gifts you give them, all done in your beautiful handcrafting.
The coasters are beautiful!! You have done a perfect job stitching them and getting them into the coasters. I remember being very worried about that last year when I made coasters for Xmas presents. Love them and the card.

Thank you all for your lovely comments. I feel really pleased with the way they have turned out and Mabel's instructions were excellent.
When I posted the pics I forgot to say that apart from the Sweetheart Tree one all the others are Mabel's designs, either Happy Hour or Kaleidoscope chart packs with mostly my added borders. I did use Mabel's long arm cross stitch (quite a challenge too ) on the yellow one with the daisies.
You are amazing Mabel with the designs you think up for us and your clear instructions. Thank you so very much.

These are the gift for my little sister who will be 70 in May. I will take them over to Christchurch (NZ) with us in mid April.
They have taken far too long to do, most of them well over a week each and one or two of them have been frogged frequently
to the detriment of the linen.
So now you know where I have been, buried under Sweetheart Treer Teenie Tiny 1V motif in various DMC cottons - as the mood took me.
Must get onto Mabel's March SAL next - but not today. Maybe a small easy jig saw puzzle to relax with

Sally, they are beautiful.
I'm sure she will love them (and if not, send them to me )
2022 is yet another year of the UFO!!
Great Wall of China,
Peacocks and Pheasants,
Birds of a feather,
Hardanger Table runner,
TW Peacock Tapestry,
Milennium Sampler,
Yes, they are all STILL in progress!
They are beautiful!! Your sister is going to adore them. And I love that we both chose Hardanger designs as gifts for special birthdays for our baby sisters. I love the floral designs you chose for yours. So delicate! Will be hard to use as coasters, I'm sure.
Jigsaw puzzle sounds like a good way to clear and refresh your mind before moving on to your next project.
