My first tiny section has been completed on my new project -- Mickey and Pirate Friends. Here is my first update for it.



There are so many browns and reds and a few oranges in this part. The colors are very different than Tink. I will get through it, though, as hubby really wants to see it hanging up downstairs.

Great start! Backgrounds with dark colors can seem tedious at times, but are worth it when the colors really pop. Looking forward to updates!

I have finished another small section of my Mickey and Pirate Friends cross stitch. It is difficult to tell, but the oranges you see are actually part of Goofy's pirate hat. The details will become clearer as I make more progress. My goal is for Goofy's eye to start to appear before the end of June. We've got five nieces and nephews getting married this summer, so we shall see how much progress I can make. Thanks for stopping by.

Looks like good progress to me. And I thought my one niece getting married this fall was exhausting and exciting. 5 is an awful lot for one season!

I've been working on Mickey and Pirate friends in very short bursts lately, so not much is getting done on it. What you can see so far is part of Goofy's Pirate hat (the orange bits) and what looks to be the very edge of Goofy's head coming in. My goal is to get to Goofy's eyes before the month is over. It will be a stretch, but I think the picture will become much more visible at this point. It will finish approximately 18" x 25" so about the same as a HAED. Hope that gives a little more perspective.
