Thank you, yes bird is a wren. Think the rose is my favourite project I've made over the years, simple yet a lot of variations in the colouring, DMC kit.

They are all beautiful in their different ways but I like the characterful wren and that gorgeous rose best!

The Wren is superb.
I like the rose, seen a couple of the kit completed and it always astonishes me how well the colour graduations are done.. Looks neat and superbly stitched.

Look forward to seeing your future progress.

All the best,

Richard.

Fantastic previous finishes Blossom! Beautifully stitched and I also love the rose! It reminds me of one I have in my stash but a Bothy Threads one. And that little Wren is just so full of character!

thank you both.

Wren was Twilley's kit. Not done one of their x st kits before but their other craft kits are excellent. Rose has I think 14 colours - 12 pink, 2 red & white. One of my neighbours thought I had painted the rose until he got right up to it. Each time she came in seemed mesmerised by it, Think she was trying to work out the different coloured pinks but I never asked as it would have embarrassed her.

Thank you Wendy. Erm, just one thing, hope you won't think I'm rude mentioning it, but I think the cupcake is a meringue nest with cream, raspberries & tiny bits of mint leaves. I don't really mind if you think it is something else. It's one of those DMC card mini=kits often in shops.

The Original Factory Shop had a small box of several designs & I've made a few as they are quick & fun, everything in one small packet. They don't sell any other x stitch things, had just started selling wool at that time as our local wool shop closed. Not much choice of colours but baby yarn, DK, Aran & occasionally chunky. A large basket type thing for years but recently have a small section of shelves so easier to see & choose. Several churches have knitting groups & after local one closed, nearest wool shop was 7 miles away. The Factory Shop is close to a bus stop & those without cars can easily get to it.
