Ethelnute, whether he is a king or she is a queen, is super special indeed!

Oh the bird is beautiful, so pretty and I love the relative "chunkiness" of the stitches you have used ( I need to get an A-Z book of embroidery stitches).
Ethelnute is coming along nicely, although I do hope you aren't taxing your wrist too much with the spilt stitches. Its so interesting to see how the light falls differently on the change of direction.
Made a start on my Kelly Fletcher tea towel. I didn't trust the DMC threads in the kit - I think they are "kit quality threads" - so am using floche and coton a broder #16

A bit more progress on the tea towel. I'm really enjoying this as it's completely random - I picked some colours and now I'm just covering the lines and filling areas however the fancy takes me
Seems s terrible idea to use such beautiful stitching on a tea towel. It might be damaged by use and then ruined.
OK, I have tea towels that are currently 30 years old, but tea towels wear out... And then where would that lovely design be?
Now, it's also nice to have decorated things in the house, so what better use for it?
As you can see, I'm somewhat conflicted about this. One thing I can agree with myself about is that it's lovely.
Well, look at it this way - I enjoyed stitching it, and if I don't use it it will simply end up in my box of completed-but-otherwise-neglected projects !
