Advent calendars for stitchers!

Post by Serinde »

And weavers, and tailors and, well, anyone really.

I have no idea about DeVere's Advent Calendars, and I am sooooo tempted! OK, the pure silk one might be pushing it a bit (although you can get refills for next year if you keep all the bits safe), but the worsted wool one is very affordable... :thinks: :D

They look gorgeous! The main downside I think is the colour choices - I'm not sure I'd use 24 shades of gold, or silver, or copper. Something a bit more varied, now that would be tempting...

Mabel, I think that the gold, silver, copper thing is just the wrapping for the threads you choose for each little parcel. It's not clear until you click on one of the colour schemes and see the dropdown box for choosing what variety of thing you want in your advent parcels (silk, with a weight choice; wool; embroidery cotton; a combination of all of these). At least that's how I'm reading it. Anyway, I'm taking a punt on the wool, in hopes it'll be good for weaving. :D
