There's a pattern on patternonline that looks just like this one. DH loves decorating for the holidays, and I only have 1 Xmas kit to do. Wonder if he would like this one.. :thinks: :thinks:

6 strands on 16 ct.! O, wow...but that must be half stitches...but still very thick...I can imagine how hard to get it through the tiny holes of the fabric.

I've only used 6 strands on 11 ct black aida while doing my sunflower project. :)

I just watched a programme on BBC1 with Joanna Lumley going in search of the Aurora Borealis. The footage of the Aurora was just stunning and exactly like your chart!! I hope you enjoy stitching it.

Thanks for the lovely comments :)

Here’s this week’s progress.

The two darker blues are 6 strands half stitch, the lighter blue is 4 strands half stitch, done with 2 threads of one colour and 2 of another.

Slinky taped the Joanna Lumley programme, to watch this evening.

Looking good! :applesauce: You can already start to see the aurora effect. I just keep getting more and more tempted to order a very similar (if not the same) pattern from patternsonline.

Hiya. Love the progress pic.

Your fabric looks 'gridded'. Have you done this yourself or did it come like this?

I also watched Joanna Lumley programme, it was amazing, just like your completed pic.
Your progress is looking beautiful, the colours are already noticable in the sky.
I'll enjoy the updates on this

I was wondering the same thing as linky

Ummm… now you mention it, it does look gridded in the photo, the gridding effect must be something to do with the fact that I reduced the resolution of the photo down to 25% so that it wasn’t too large for the site, because the fabric is definitely not gridded :?
