It would but you'd have to make it bigger - or add a border to it - as the cross itself is only 2.7cm high, and the coasters take up to 8cm.

Oh, unless you mean the vilene; yes, I always use that in the coasters.

What a lovely photo of you and the pendant! It does enhance your jumper. Beautifully embroidered as always.

A church friend of mine paints little pebble owls and one was the exact colours of my RSN project! Well, I couldn't ignore that could I :-) ?

A more detailed description of the whole design process on FoF, but here is the finished owl in a card:

I think he looks rather bewildered :-) - Whoo me? (Might make that the title of the design!)
Yes, she loves it - and another friend has asked to buy it for their school, as each class has a name and one of them is the Owls. They've got lots of ceramic etc owls but not a stitched one. I said I'd do another one in colours of her choice for a donation to the church Building Fund :-)

Love that owl! Would be great to see the pebble and card side by side, I like the idea of pebble painting and owls are just irresistible! :applesauce:

Karin, I'm afraid I only have some tiny pics of her pebbles, and none side by side with the stitched one, but you can see some of them on my blog

Just because I can :-) I did another, smaller one using Madeira Lana, a wool/acrylic blend that is a bit thinner than crewel wool. It also comes in fewer colours so I had to improvise a bit. Here he is, in the second pic with his larger brother. They are 4cm and 5cm high.
