Nice! Battlement couching always seemed to be to be a victorian way to keep well-brought-up young ladies off the street (rather like Ruskin lace), but the effects can be wonderful. Good sneaky left threads there, too. The snail is very effective.
Wow, you are a perfectionist, Mabel. Wonderful embroidery!

Third day of the Jacobean module of the RSN Certificate - in which I panic about pounce, stitch my first stitch, and rejoice in my trestles
The panic was because some of the pounce (grey powder used to transfer the design) Would Not Come Out, so I'm going to extend the water a bit to cover it up. The rejoicing is because I found out that my £50 Ikea trestles actually work better for me than the RSN ones!
WOW that is awesome and mindboggling Mabel. Looking forward to the next update. Love your set up very much but sadly it wouldn't work here I would have to sleep out in the hall me thinks.

Magnificent, How wonderful to be so creative. Truly beautiful. Have you got a notice on your door saying 'Shhhh genius at work? If not, you should have. (I take it you do have a quiet room for your creative work ). Will be lovely to see more of your designs in the future.
Oh Mabel, reading your last post on FoF is a bit like reading a thriller. I was holding my breath too
Well done!

Mabel, your designs and stitching are beautiful as always, but the cat(no, the Cat) is so self-confident and lordly, I cant take my eyes off her and cant help smiling. She obviously does you a great favour allowing to hold her in your arms, and us- to look at her. I now know why she looks so grand- her eyes are half-closed (heavy eyelids). Adorable creature, no doubt. And well aware of being loved.
Happy designing and stitching!

Great design and I’m sure Lexi is happy that she is the star, because from her feline perspective all the rest of the design is there to point to her. I read your Post on FoF and it was very interesting. That gives the piece it’s own character and I know so much more meaning to you. I love it!

I needed a travel project for a day out but didn't have anything the right size. So I cut a mini sample cloth to try out the cat for my Certificate project - smallish, only a few colours, and no chart to look at. Perfect
Can't imagine a better companion for a week-end trip. How does Lexie feel about it?
