Thank you for all your kind comments on my Enchantress :D

This week it has been difficult to do much stitching as I was distracted by the man in my house  who was fitting new internal doors which meant I had to keep out of the way and cover my work all the time to protect it so progress has been slow. I did finish off the orchard on my Peacock and am back on his tail feathers:

Image

While the sun was out and it was warm enough in my conservatory I did get a bit more done on my Bunny:

Now that I have the house to myself again I hope to get a bit more progress in the coming week

Such beautiful stitching.

Life does have it's way of being distracting at times.

Bathtime bunny is adorable.

I have been struggling this week 9 of my friends are down with Covid and I have had to take on responsibility for the Village Hall. I made the decision that the tail on the Peacock takes a lot of focus and I don't feel like I am getting anywhere so I needed something different. So I dug out a 24" frame and mounted it on the older Lowery stand above the Peacock Tapestry:

Image

It was a bit of an experiment to see how the Lowery would cope with holding up the wide frame and I can report it does without any problems :D This is what is being stitched on there

Image

My plan is that this "one" will move out to replace the bunny once it is finished:

I feel I am on the last downhill straight with Bath time Bunny :tizzy:

I am sorry to hear that you have so many friends down with Covid. Hopefully they will have the easier version and get well soon. Can understand why you need a break from the peacock tail when other responsibilities are claiming your time. The bunny is making good progress. Looking forward to your next update.

Bath-time Bunny is looking great! :applesauce:

Interesting to see your 24" frame on the Lowry. I have a 20" frame on mine at the moment and as long as I prop my chart on the 'stand end' the degree of wobble is acceptable. I don't have an independent chart stand which works for me.

:( sorry to learn about your friends with the Dreaded Covid!! I hope that they all recover quickly without lasting problems.

We are still masked up and testing here in The Borders.

Great update! I don't remember, do you only use the corner clamp on your Lowery? I've only used the "regular" one.

I hope your friends are doing okay with COVID. My county has been without mask mandates for a month so now, but I still mask up when I am in stores (which is seldom because I almost always use curbside pickup) or when I'm at work. Our number are slowly creeping back up but I hope that will change.

Thank you. The Lowery with the corner clamp is the really old one I picked up second hand. The angled steel bar is slightly thicker on this one so it copes with heavier/longer frames.

Thank you for being concerned about my friends: They all seem to be slowly recovering. The most concerning incident was when one flew to Edinburgh picked up a hire car to travel around in then two days later tested positive. As her husband did not drive they contacted the airline about being flown home. The response from the airline was that as our government no longer require people to self isolate they could not refuse to let her on the aircraft to fly home  She said during the flight back she wore two face masks and even today 4 weeks later feels very guilty about being on an aircraft knowingly being positive  She reckons she is only now about back feeling "normal".

I have avoided Covid (touch wood) probably because I am the Meany who requires the doors/windows to always be open in the village hall and as the rest complain about drafts I am always the one sitting up wind in the howling draft which may well be why I still have not caught it  If I go out and about I am still wearing my face mask and have no intentions of not wearing it while Covid is rampant  .

Great bunny! And you are absolutely right to give that peacock tail a wide berth while you have so much else that needs your attention. (Hope your friends are fighting fit very soon, btw.)

I've been trying out my "new" Lowry stand, and have discovered that I need to set it up on the RH side, otherwise it gets in the way of my two-handed stitching technique. It will be interesting to use both at the same time on my larger Tanya Bentham piece...

I started with mine on the left, but very quickly found it better on my right.

Mine is just the opposite. I started out with it on my RH side and then switched to the LH side which made two handed stitching easier. The afghan however keeps the Lowry in the corner right now.

I've been mainly working on putting into place the outside frame on this one:

Image

I'm now heading down to put another row of gold on the bottom hopefully it will be ready to go in time for when I finish the other one it is to follow on to  .

The weather has gone from pleasantly warm in the conservatory to rather hot while I work on my Bunny:

Image

Not much to go but it is planting time so I am spending much of my time in the greenhouse/garden.
