I have started stitching on my Blackwork Winter project. Here is the before photo:



And here it is after stitching on it yesterday:



I will be stitching on it some more tonight because my pain level is real high and it is not as complicated as my other two WIPS.

This is a superb pattern. I love the snowman he is so great.

I love blackwork. It is done with either backstitch, or double running stitch (I believe it is called) or a combination of the two. I tend to combine the two as it makes it easier to do the small details inside of an area.

I'm just doing my very first blackwork design - rosebud (with leaves, ladybird and butterfly). I completed the outline last night.

Threadbear: I am starting to feel better because my doctor finally updated my medications after 5 years on the same dose. The new dose is helping quite a bit. I actually put away groceries and did dishes today and my pain stayed below a 5!! WOOT!!

Well that's fantastic news!! I'm so pleased for you. I can imagine the relief is wonderful.

It is fantastic! I am so happy! I continue to have increased pain the more I move around, but the medication can now handle it fairly easily. Now comes the fun, trying to rebuild the strength I lost having to take it "too easy" for the last couple of months.

The picture is wonderful too! This is really coming on at a gallop. You're really doing well on it and I just love the way it's looking.
