And yes, these lot will get you more and more into stash accumulation. I've only been here a couple months and already I have got the stash bug very strongly

Again thanks for all your welcome. It'll take a while to upload the photos cos I'm on sucky dial-up - a huge bundle of fun. But I'll have them up by tomorrow when I go to MacDonalds with my laptop.
Four days without chocolate, pfft that's nothing, I have gone without chocolate for 40 days. Well it was Lent. LOL.
I must check out the Stash and Grab pub.
I do look at sites and think wow I would like to do that but I have been strong.
Now that my current project is nearly finished, I have think what to do next.

We're talking about stitching, right Jess?
There's nothing better than a good friend, except a good friend with CHOCOLATE! Forget love! I'd rather fall in CHOCOLATE!

Hi and welcome. Too pretty to be inside on this gorgeous fall day in N. Idaho (but nevertheless, here I am in front of the screen ) . Should be trying to soak up the beautiful weather now before it snows!
Are you going to do something Christmassy for your next project?
I'm not too sure yet what to do. As I do, you'll be the first to know. I was thinking about doing the Country Companions from WOCS - the one with the snowman.
Do whatever takes your fancy! Cross stitch mags have some lovely designes and some pretty dire ones - but what is lovely and what is dire totally depends on each person's taste!
If you have the threads for a design already, using a mag design -or buying a chart - is the cheapest way to go - and even if you have to buy quite a few skeins of thread, it can still be a lot cheaper than buying a kit, obviously. But I have to say I do like kits! I just don't like the prices!
Welcome from the West of Scotland, Stephen with a ph. Shows good taste and class, that. (My son, is also Stephen with a ph, as is his uncle, so it runs in the family...)
Love the Halloween stuff! Re Lent: once gave up sugar. What WAS I thinking??
A belated hi from me! It's nice to know that there are guys out there that are my age that stitch! You so often find that guys don't want to do it for fear of being joked about. Good on you thats what I say. No need to be scared. Everyone on here is really nice and extreamly helpful. All you have to do is ask, and help is on the way! Most of the stitchers on here have other crafts that they frequent so if you want to try something new then just take a peak at the other crafts section and ask away. I'm sure there are loads of crafters on here that will teach you something new! Me included! So another hi and welcome from me!
