I am just trying to finish up the guitar that I am stitching and I ran out of the varigated thread. I have 108 stitches left to do. I really don't want to have to buy a whole skein as I really don't like the color but if I have to I guess I will but if any one is able to send me a piece about 12 inches long so that I can finish the last few stitch I would love it. The color is Dark purple Varigated #4240. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if anyone can help I will love you forever.

I have some, Rose, but it may take a while to get there.
Alternatively, I have seen somewhere a list of the colours that make up the variations - can't lay my finger on it at the moment, if you had the colours you could maybe make it up as you go along.
Anyway, let me know, you are welcome to some of mine. Having said that, it would probably cost me as much to send it as it would for you to buy one
CF and Busy-B Thanks for the offer of buying the skein but that is not necessary I can buy a new skein if it comes down to it I just don't want the whole thing as this is not a color I plan to use again. So really appreciate the offer.
Mags I think I will do as you suggest and just make up my own varigated teh link you gave me makes it easy as I can just get those colors out of my stash and make up a few stitches of each. I am sure that I can make it look ok. It really is just a small amount of stitches.

Looking at the color in the store, it looks like one I would use for small projects so I bought a skein to add to my stash. pm me your address, and I'll send some out to you!

but just curious..most are made up of 4 colors..
so you would have to use 4 strands..
but you stitch with 2

you'd stitch with the first color..then when the thread is ended, you'd use the 2nd one..then the 3rd..making full x's
