Lovely finish! Nothing more satisfying than seeing a finish framed!

I thought I would update this thread with the few mini bits, I managed to do while having treatment. I was usually so tired from the chemo and radiotherapy that I didnt seem to be able to concentrate for long.

I love this, and I eventually hope to do 2 more so each of my children can have one. I say this everynight when I tuck them into bed the little ones love it but when I say it to my ten yr old he just grunts at me, lol

The freebie Emily Peacock - Luck kit, I dont know what to do with this yet

And when my aforementioned ten year old announced on a Saturday night, he needed a hanging basket for school on Monday to sell. I managed to cobble this together. His teacher liked it so much it didnt even make it to the stall and she brought it to take home :D

Love the moon one. :applesauce: The 10 y.o. might  but I bet if you forgot one night he would remind you (or want to remind you). I think these are things that a child remembers and tells his/her children in the future. and that is a really nice hanging basket.

Re: Heidi's WIP's - Blackwork Rose, advice needed please

I saw this in a magazine and decided that as the Tudor Rose in the school logo for my eldest sons school it would be fun to change the colours to match the schools. So Ive been working on this on and off for quite a while now. Recently with the school year coming to a close I thought I would finish it and give it as a Thank You as they have been hugely supportive during my cancer treatment and then my sons accident. Hes been allowed to go back to school in his wheelchair, despite having 2 broken legs. They have done everything to help him and going back to school and seeing his friends has really cheered him up.
I finished the work on the rose, but I want to personalise it with the schools name so I wondered if anyone knew of any alphabet online that would be in keeping with the design. If its to be finished in time I need to get going

Thank you,
Heidi x

The rose looks great, what a lovely project to show your appreciation to the school!

As for alphabets, here are some I've charted and used in the past, some cross stitch (which can be done over one), some backstitch -- if any of them appeals PM me and I'll send you a larger version:

Great finish on the Rose, and nice alphabets Mabel. One of those should work very well.

Just a thought, but I also think that the first set of letters that Mabel posted would go well with that rose. They are very clear but elegant like the rose is.
