Thank you everyone! :)

I'm curious about the sparkles in the background; is it Kreinik or Light Effects?
MaudL - it is Kreinik #4 very fine braid. I don't find it too bad to work with, although I do feel a sense of relief when I'm done with a section of it and get back to using the DMC...

kornflake.stew wrote::applesauce: Really gorgeous, well done not much more now! Is tent stitching just like a half cross stitch then?
The way I tent stitch is a bit odd I think... On the rows that go left to right, I do a half cross from bottom left to top right and the back looks like |||||. On rows that go right to left, I think I actually do a continental stitch (correct me if I'm wrong, girls!), still going bottom left to top right but the back looks like //////. I did try doing continental stitch the whole time on a since-abandoned storykeep, but I found that it was distorting the fabric plus I didn't like the 3 over 1 I was trying to do on 25 count. Hence my switch to 28 count... :). I don't have any trouble with the fabric distorting on my pieces and I see no difference in the rows and have good coverage, so it works for me, lol. :)

that is exactly how I did what I called tent stitch on my mini Amethyst. I think my coverage issues relate to my tension (too tight). When I tried to do the continental (?) I would get confused as to which stitch I was doing. which is what happens if I don't do the / stitch starting at the bottom. I didn't have any problem with stitches going under the fabric. I never understood that exactly and never saw it. I love how your piece is looking. I think it has great coverage and looks like full x's to me.

Thanks Dana, I thought thats what it was but was getting a bit confused with tent stitch because iv heard people talk about tent stitching and half cross stitches like they were totally different lol! The way you explain doing your tent stitching is the way I would have thought it was done too! I think I'll have to give it a try seems like it would be much quicker and still looks fantastic. I have so many charts to do but not enough time lol!
