Such a great design, and of a beautiful bird! The kingfishers that are common here in the US (belted kingfisher) are not nearly so eye-catching; in fact I've seen some close to where I live that are downright shabby looking with their funny little crests! I recently watched a BBC show about kingfishers in the UK, and they really are a pretty little gem of a bird.
