On closer inspection I nearly cried though.... Maybe im just picky but you cant get back into the frame without ruining it.. There is a random thread there which wasnt before!

Oh well its already up on the wall

 the frame is just beautiful!! So sorry about the random thread showing up though--is there any way that the framer would redo this--seems to me that they should have been more careful when they did the framing. At least it isn't too readily visible, but still

:applesauce: It looks beautiful in the frame and that random thread is really only visible in a real close up. I don't know if the framer can fix it or not, but it must be beautiful on the wall. So glad that your mother loved it. Then again, there is nothing about it that isn't lovable. :applesauce:

I think it looks gorgeous and if you'd not pointed out the pesky thread we would be none the wiser and I'm sure no one that looks at it hanging beautifully on the wall will notice either!

Beautiful frame...just right!
I'm glad your mum liked it. too!

Shame about the stray thread, though! It's quite tiny and can only be seen close up if you know where to look, I guess. If your Mum is happy I'd let it be! The framer might remove it if you asked ....but then introduce some thing else!

I had a picture framed once that had an outline stitched around the design. I washed and ironed that piece carefully. When it came back from the framers it was askew in one corner. I complained and they said that it was distorted before framing and that they'd done their best with it!
HuH it was straight, I know it was.
I cut it out of the frame and straightened it as best I could but the line is still a bit out of true. It's hung higher on the wall now sothe bottom line doesn't catch the eye! :)

Oh thats a shame, ive always framed things myself up until the last 2 'biggies' due to fear they do something to them  Its a relief when you get it back just as you left it

As for the thread i didnt point it out to my mum and i dont think she has examined it like me. :)
Thanks for the lovely comments

Wow it looks stunning, that frame is gorgeous and just right for the piece :applesauce: :applesauce:
As for that pesky errant thread....if your mum doesn't mind then I can't see the problem, she is the one you stitched it for after all!
