we have them in the garden eating our fat balls (they will be disappointed as soon as the warm weather arrives and stays). Meanwhile, the gang eat us out of house and home if we don't catch them in time. Too clever by half. Only good thing is that the feeder wasn't meant for such huge birds, so the little ground feeders do get their share in the end, I suppose.

Seagulls

(We were in Minehead for the week, at Spring Harvest. Sea. Seagulls. Do not eat chips while out and about.)

Laughter

(Where I work we have seagulls nesting on the roof. They splatter cars with guano, and sit there on the edge of the roof clacking their beaks afterwards. It cannot be anything other than laughter, as they never clack beaks like that at any other time during the day. The preferred targets are black or silver cars, and other colours are left untouched. The black cars get splattered wherever they are parked, so it's not due to being parked in the same spots. Fortunately I use a moped to go to work {red or white}, and have a covered shelter to park it in.. )

At Canada’s Wonderland that ride is called Swing of the Century. I haven’t been there in years, but it used to just do up like a toddler swing, a simple bar that doesn’t lock. Girls used to hold hand, which isn’t safe when it’s going, but not as unsafe as people who stood up, and got kicked out of the park for the season, even if they had a season pass.
