I finished my "plain" version ! It's not been ironed yet, and I need to backstitch a rectangle around it because it's going to be whipstitched to the embellished version to make a double-sided hanger, but the main stitching is done:



I'll do a few other things now, and then start the embellished version -- buttons, charms, beads, Petite Treasure Braid, satin threads, pearl threads, variegated threads, couching, ribbon, I'll go mad . It does mean that this will be going for quite a bit longer, so if you didn't join at the start feel free to jump in now!

It looks great!!!!!! One question will you be using the same fabric or will you change that also?????

I did think of using a hand-dyed, to go with all the changes, but think I'll stick with the 32ct linen -- with so many changes I think it needs to have something the same so they look as though they belong together! Also, they'll be a lot easier to whipstitch together

Has it really been this long since we had this stitch a long? I thought I'd let you all know that I got a great comment about mine. A guest peeked over my desk at my bag and said they thought it was really cool! I explained it had been part of a Stitch a Long section of this forum I might have gushed about great you all are a bit too
