It's absolutely fantastic, I love those purples, and your basket is growing so beautifully!

It's from Blackwork Journey - the pattern is called Lilac Time and is originally shown in shades of lilac (as you'd expect with that name), but I went with raspberry tones instead.

It's stitched on 25-count evenweave from a Polstitches grab bag in, I suspect, rhubarb and custard, but the picture doesn't realy show off the colours, which are pinky-yellowy tones and look beautiful. The raspberry floss colours (all DMC) go particularly well with it which is why I went wit those colours rather than the lilacs (I have some lovely lilac threads I had originally planned to use for this design, but they didn't look so good with the fabric and I switched shades at the last minute).

It was a really lovely stitch. Back and front are the same design, but the side panels I just did off the top of my head and one of the four has "Kell, April 2010" on it instead of the pattern - they'll all have my name, the month and the year on them so I'll always know when they were stitched if I'm ever asked. :)

THat's really funny, because I thought the exact samething when I took the photo yesterday! And, in fact, the "basket" I'm now using was from an Easter Egg, but the first one I used (which was splaying out too much to continue using) was actually from a box of chocolates - LOL!

Thanks for that :D . I had already downloaded it but didn't recognise the design stitched up like that. It really does make a beautiful biscornu.

It's funny just how different the same design can look stitched in different colours or used for a different finish.

Wow a real basket of delicious goodies!! The latest addition is really pretty!

I love the way that the different designs make the same basic shape look so different. :applesauce:

I'll have to start planning May's biscornu - I want them all to be different styles if possible, but it'll be touch soming up with 12 different styles of biscornu! Perhaps a 15-sided one next month. Or if I could find how to do one of those tulip biscornu, that would be fun. If anyone can find a tutorial on a tulip biscornu, I'd be very grateful!

Actually, I've been thinking about it, and I think I many have worked out in my head how to do it after all, so watch this space - a tulip biscornu could be following next month!

There are a couple on the tubes, even some for the same 15-sided shape in quilting, This one's in French, but I thought of you when I saw the blackwork.
